When I sat down to write this letter for you I was almost in tears. My gratitude towards you can in no way be expressed in words. I feel inadequate in my attempt to express it.

This letter is short, but it is honest and heartfelt.

Dear Shaun,

I simply wanted to express my gratitude and admiration for you. Working
with you was an experience I will cherish and refer back to throughout
my career. Not only are you good at what you do, but you also love what
you do. Your skill and zest for your work make for an amazing working
experience. I look forward to the day when we can work together again.


You helped to capture the best side of myself, both physically and
personally. Your knowlege and know-how helped me to do the best that I have
ever done in front of the camera. The knowledge that you shared with me
- both about simple posing, and also about the Fashion industry as a
whole has proven to be a priceless gem of inspiration and knowledge.


The excitement of having the chance to work with you was only
compounded when I saw the finished product. To see myself through your eyes in
your photos was a liberating and exhilerating experience. Your work is
art. You do not simply capture my image, you caputre - me -.

Your attention to detail and beauty is inspiring. It showed me that
there is in fact true beauty in the simplest detail of not only photos,
but life itself.

Thank you so much for the opportunity to work with you and get to know
you. You are an amazing photographer, but more importantly you are an
amazing person. Spending time with you doing something that we are both
passionate about was definately a highlight of my young career.

Jessa's letter from Thailnad

Hey Sweetheart!

Sorry I haven't called. It is hard to find a good time that won't wake
you
up at an ungodly hour. I will try to call you tonight... maybe around
9pm my
time that is 7 am your time. I hope that is ok.

I am doing really well. Everybody loves me. I am getting really good
feedback from the casting directors and the agency. They are all very
nice.
The people at the agency say that I am even better than they expected
me to
be. I am really happy. I love Bangkok. The city is dirty and kinda
scary,
but the people are all very interesting. I went grocery shopping
yestserday
and I had 5 thai people following me around taking my picture. One lady
asked if her daughter could touch my skin. That was weird, but
interesting.
I said yes, then the lady touched me and was in awe... i don't
understand
that... but it was interesting.

Whenever I walk into a casting to see a casting director that already
has
met me they yell out "Miss New York!!!"

So far I am the only girl I see following the simple culture codes. I
always
'wai' and say sawatee ka and greet them in thai. They LOVE that. None
of the
other girls make that effort. I think I have a leg up on a few of them
just
because of my personality. Most of the girls are hard core partiers.
They go
out EVERY NIGHT!! I have noticed a couple of them have a pretty steady
drug
habbit. I haven't gone out partying yet. I have no plans to in the
near
future. I plan to just get a lot of sleep and be fresh and vibrant at
my
castings.

So far I have had four or five castings every day. Even weekends. I am
keeping busy!!!

I learned that they pushed back fashion week until mid october!! Yay!!
I
didn't miss it!! I have been to a few lingere show castings... they say
I
have a great ass..lol.

The agency said that most of the girls are going to be going back to
their
home countries for the holidays and then maybe coming back if they are
requested. I am totally up for that if they bring it up with you and
Len.

An agent from Taiwan will be coming to see me sometime next week I was
told.
We will see how that goes.

Everybody loves the shots you did in my book. They all stop and stare
at
them when they are going through my book. Your work is really going to
get
me far. I am so grateful!! If you ever came here I am sure you could
get a
lot of work. They absolutely LOVE your stuff.

The fashion industry is really tight here. There are only about 100
models
in the whole city. And I have met almost all of them. There are only
about
10 major casting directors. I have met most of them. People talk a lot.
I
have learned a lot about the people in the industry. So I am assuming
that
people are talking about me also. I promise that i will never give them
anything bad to talk about.

My roommate is Brazilian. She is nice enough. However she is a bit of
trouble. She always forgets things and leaves the A.C. on and the doors
open
or unlocked. She lost her key to the apartment today, so now I have to
keep
in touch with her as to where I am and when I will be home. That is
annoying. I am independant and don't want to be anybody's mommy while I
am
here. She refuses to go anywhere without me. Her confidence is very
low. The
agency has to call her a cab every morning to pick her up because she
is
'afraid' to hail one herself. I just get my ass out the door and go.

The agency has a booker take the girls to their castings for the first
two
weeks so that they can get a feel for the city and whatnot. I am
already
cool with getting around, so I don't have to wait for a booker to 'hold
my
hand' and get me where I need to go. I speak thai enough to get around
already. It is really exciting how well I am getting along here! I am
so
proud of myself!

Anyway, I am going to do some yoga and hit the sack. I have early
castings
in the morning.
